Laughter - by Carlee Squires
LAUGHTER. Psalm 126:2 Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
I can practically hear Lenen’s baby-laugh when I look at this picture. My little boy turns 4 this week. That precious, baby, gut-laugh is gone but I still live to hear him laugh! I read Psalm 126:2 to Lenen and asked him: “What does laughter make you think of?” He thought for a moment and proudly said “LOVE!”
Make someone laugh...Or look at an old photograph or video that sparks the memory of a loved one laughing. Revel in the warmth and joy that comes with it. God’s love can be felt in many ways, but laughter is one of my favorites!
Prayer: Dear God, thank you for the gift of your love through laughter. Help us to feel your presence and your abundant love this Christmas, and always, through the many blessings you provide. Amen.
