LIGHT by Linette Gedon
A simple switch, we move it multiple times in a day and usually don’t give it a second thought. Light is an integral part of our lives, but we take it for granted until a storm hits and we are in the dark!
So many of us treat the Light that broke into our dark and weary world over 2,000 years ago the same way. We don’t give Him a second thought until the storms of life hit and we only see the darkness. Unlike the light switch which doesn’t help when the storm hits, the Light that is Christ is still present. This advent season celebrate the Light all day every day.
“ The promise was love and the promise was life. The promise meant Light to the world. “ Michael Card
You have given us light in the darkness. You light the path before us. Fill us with your Spirit that we may shine your Light to everyone we meet. We ask these things in the name of the True Light, Jesus! Amen
Read Isaiah 60:1-5
"“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
“Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the hip. Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.
