What do you think of when you think of family? Does it make you joyous? Are you reduced to tears? Do memories invade the space in your head?
If you are like me, it’s most likely a smattering mix of all the above at any given moment. I love my family more than I could ever express to them. I weep when I think of those that I miss so dearly. And the memories…good, bad, loss, triumph, jubilation and all the in between, are inescapable.
Above all else I truly wish and pray that you feel Blessed when you think of whatever family you have. Do you know how many do not have the opportunity to feel any of the above emotions because they have no family? Have you thought of those who long for “others”, because those that make up their environment have no true sense of what a family is, nor do they act in a loving and positive manner?
So be thankful for your family. Cherish and make the most of each and every moment you are gifted. We each fall short of that goal or ideal, but we can always do better. Love more and better the next day.
More importantly find your family in Christ. Our Father intended that for us. He sent his Son to welcome us and call us into that Spiritual family. We are all bound as that divine family. By using the example we can do so much more for and with our earthly family. All are always welcome and forever loved and cherished. It is the best family ever! I want you to know I love each and every one of you as “family”. I pray for your peace and hope you all treat your Brothers and Sisters as just that…FAMILY
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:15
