Disciple Leadership Board

“Authentic” means genuine, not false or gold-plated for appearance’s sake. It is what it claims to be, an obvious, accurate representation of the truth. An authentic Christian leader is one who desires to follow Jesus more closely, more intimately beyond Sunday into every day. It is the essence of the Made for More (M4M) lifestyle. Disciples realize there's more to life than where they are and are determined to find it .

(1) What are you currently reading?

(2) What are you currently praying?

(3) Who are you currently leading?

You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I’d never have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel. Psalm 119:7 MSG

We are Easter People living in a Good Friday World. We exist to be a joyful expression of God’s renewed Kingdom, a unifying power in a polarized world, and a catalytic vision of compassionate humanity. A disillusioned world needs an inspired church.

What are the challenges we currently face for which we presently have no answer but must address if we're to live into God's preferred future for us?

“Whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.” Matthew 7:24

Servant Leaders know from personal experience the fulfillment and satisfaction that comes from rolling up your sleeves and pitching in. There’s a huge difference between those that sit in front of the counter, and those called to serve behind the counter. Serving Leaders don’t wait to be asked, but assume responsibility for making things better. They take initiative because of their calling not their position.

Given this reality, what can we do to make things better? In what area do we have enough energy, leadership, and potential that, if we concentrated our efforts and resources, we could make a significant impact?

"if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.” Isaiah 58:10
