Life is about motives, Drivers, incentives and inspiration. Why do you do the things you do? (perhaps better, why do you NOT do the things you want to do and should do?)
God is all about your motives. He’s far more interested in the why of what you’re doing than in how much you do, how fast you do it and how often you do it!
Think about that.
Think about your spiritual habits and the driving forces behind it.
Do you attend church? Do you follow up on what you learned or experienced?
Do you skip church? What takes its place and why?
Do you Study Scripture with others?
Do you offer to serve with others?
Why do you avoid some activities and embrace others?
All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.
A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
