Sunday, October 6, 2019 - To God be the Glory
As Christians, we have responsibilities. We have the responsibility of sharing Christ with others. In order for people to have a relationship with Christ, people need to know Christ. In order for people to know Christ, they have to be introduced.
We love God. God loves people. If we truly love God, we love people as well, and we love them enough to share Jesus with them.
We think we're doing a good job when we're doing what we're supposed to be doing. However, all of this should come second nature to us. As natural as it is for us to talk to a friend about anything else, we should also be able to talk to people about Christ.
Everyone is created by God and created purposefully. No one exists who God did not intend to make.
Therefore, everyone - that is, every single person is important and has value. And therefore, we need to be sharing Christ with them because as Christians, it is our responsibility. When we made the commitment at our baptism and membership of prayers, presence, gifts, and service, that was an actual covenant we were making with God and with the people in our church.
